CCTV released after 77-year-old victim targeted in reported street robbery in Folkestone

Detectives have released an image of a man who may be able to assist in their investigation into an alleged theft in Folkestone.
 

 

 

The incident is reported to have occurred on 23 January 2017 at about 1pm when the 77-year-old victim reported she was walking along Canterbury Road in Folkestone.


She reported that a man approached her from behind and took a glasses case from her bag which he then discarded. He then reportedly ran off towards Dover Road.


Investigating officer Police Sergeant Chris Poulter said: 'Thankfully the victim was not hurt in this incident but was understandably left very shaken. We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident.'
