Police in Ashford hunt man following 'Frog Island' snatch

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses or information to trace the suspect who committed a robbery in Ashford.
 

 

 

Between 6.45pm and 6.55pm on Monday 6 February, a woman aged in her late 50s was walking down the alleyway between Newtown Road, past the Swan Centre to ASDA, which is an area known locally as ‘Frog Island’.

She was approached by a man who snatched her handbag.

The suspect is described as a white man aged between 40 and 50, 5ft 6in tall, and was wearing a green jacket with a hood and grey jeans. He spoke with an English accent.

Detective Constable Graham Wilkinson from East Division CID from would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the robbery or knows who the suspect is.
