Crime: Whitstable man charged over serious crash involving a Harley Davidson and a BMW near Canterbury

Police have charged a Whitstable man in connection with a serious collision in Harbledown, near Canterbury, on Monday 28 November 2016.


The incident involved a black BMW and a black Harley Davidson, and happened at about 2.30pm on the A2050 at the junction with Faulkners Lane.

A man and woman on the motorcycle were taken to a London hospital and suffered serious and life-changing leg injuries.


A 62-year-old man from Whitstable, was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, one count of drink-driving and one count of driving without insurance.

He has been bailed to appear before Margate magistrates on Thursday 20 April 2017.
