Woman's screams scares off reported bag snatcher in Ramsgate

An alleged bag snatcher in Ramsgate ran off when his victim screamed.

 

 

It was reported that the victim, a woman in her 20s, was walking away from the railway station when a man approached her from behind and attempted to grab her handbag from her shoulder.

The victim screamed and the suspect was seen running away in the direction of the station.

Police officers investigating an attempted robbery in Ramsgate have released a computer-generated image of a man they would like to speak to.

The incident happened on Sunday 9 April 2017 in Wilfred Road at approximately 2.30pm.

The victim has been able to help officers this week compile an e-fit of the man and officers are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise him.

He is described as being white with a pale complexion and having tattoos on his arms.
