Kent Police is appealing for witnesses after a report of a road traffic collision in Red Lion Square, Hythe, at 4.35pm on Friday 12 May 2017.

The collision involved a black Citroen C2 and a grey VW Passat.

Police Constable Peter Wilcoxon said: ‘The driver of the Citroen C2 was waiting to pull out of the High Street onto the A259 Dymchurch Road but was held back due to heavy traffic in both directions.

‘The driver of the VW Passat behind her reportedly drove into the back of the Citroen twice.

‘The driver of the Citroen got out of her car and challenged the driver of the VW Passat. The Passat driver then reportedly bumped into her car a third time.’

Both cars then drove towards Folkestone.

The driver of the Passat is described as being an older man with a beard.

Police Constable Wilcoxon said: ‘I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Kent Police. In particular I would like to hear from a woman who was driving a light blue VW Beetle that was behind the Citroen and Passat as she could have important information for our enquiry.’

If you can help, please phone Kent Police on 01843 222289 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting reference 12-1066.
