Two men charged with murder of man in Tovil, Maidstone

Detectives have charged two men with murder following the death of a man in Tovil, Maidstone.



An 18 year-old man and a 19-year-old man from Coxheath are both charged with the murder of Razvan Sirbu, between 6 and 7 May, 2017.

Mr Sirbu, 21, of no fixed address, was found dead at 7.15am on Sunday 7 May 2017, at a location in the Loose Valley Conservation Area. Results from a post mortem examination revealed he had died from blunt force trauma to the head and body.

The two men have been remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today 16 May.

Two boys, aged 14 and 15, who were also arrested in connection with the incident have been bailed pending further enquiries until 8 June.

A further person was arrested on suspicion of murder, shortly after 12am, today 16 May in the Maidstone area. The man, aged 18 and of no fixed address, remains in police custody.
