Detectives charge a third person with murder of man in Tovil, Maidstone

A third person has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Tovil, Maidstone.



The man aged 18 and of no fixed address was arrested in the Maidstone area on 16 May, 2017.

He, along with a man aged 18 from Maidstone and a 19-year-old man from Coxheath are now all charged with the murder of Razvan Sirbu, between 6 and 7 May, 2017.

Mr Sirbu, 21, of no fixed address, was found dead at 7.15am on Sunday 7 May 2017, at a location in the Loose Valley Conservation Area.

Results from a post mortem examination revealed he had died from blunt force trauma to the head and body.

All three have now appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court and been remanded in custody.

Two boys, aged 14 and 15, who were also arrested in connection with the incident have been bailed pending further enquiries until 8 June.
