Driver in Maidstone 'critical' after horrific accident 'bump starting' his vehicle

Officers investigating a serious collision in Maidstone are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

 

 

Kent Police was called to a collision at the rear of Bower Road, Maidstone, which involved a red Fiat Doblo and a grey Ford Fiesta.

The driver of the Fiat Doblo was attempting to ‘bump start’ his vehicle when it picked up speed and the man then became trapped between the open drivers’ door and a stationary vehicle.

The driver was taken to a London hospital by air ambulance where he remains in a critical condition.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident which took place at 2.20pm on Sunday 30 April 2017.
