Ashford woman and man charged in connection with handling of stolen black Chevrolet

An Ashford woman and a man of no fixed address have been charged with handling stolen goods – a black Chevrolet – and two counts of shoplifting.

 


The woman has also been charged in connection with a reported distraction burglary.

The 31-year-old is accused of stealing a purse from the home of a resident in the Essetford Road area on Thursday 18 May 2017.

She was arrested on Friday 26 May along a 31-year-old man, of no fixed address.

Black Chevrolet

Both have also been charged with handling stolen goods – a black Chevrolet – and two counts of shoplifting.

The man is also accused of driving without a licence or insurance, and one count of theft relating to a stolen bank card.

Both have been remanded in custody and will appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 26 June 2017.
