Folkestone industrial unit fire engulfs two vehicles parked outside

Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to reports of a fire in a tyre shop on the Shorncliffe Industrial Estate in Folkestone, just after 1.00am on Thursday morning, 4 May. 



Firefighters rushed to the scene to discover two vehicles, a Fiat 500 and VW Transporter, adjacent to the building were alight.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a high pressure hose reel and compressed air foam to contain the fire and prevent it spreading to the tyre shop.

The blaze was successfully extinguish by 1.34am  when an internal search of the building, using a thermal imaging camera was carried out.
