Man in sixties mugged near Folkestone shopping centre

A man has reportedly been robbed near to the Bouverie Place Shopping Centre in Folkestone.

Officers investigating a report of a robbery have arrested a 19-year-old man.


It is reported to have taken place in Albion Mews Road at 7pm on Sunday 15 April 2018 when the victim, a man in his 60s, was approached by a man who demanded he hand over a small amount of cash and then left the scene.

A 19-year-old man from Folkestone was arrested in Sandgate Road, Folkestone, at 8pm on Sunday 15 April on suspicion of robbery.

He is currently in police custody.
