Police appeal after burglary at village shop in Preston near Canterbury

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses after a burglary was reported at a shop in The Street, Preston.


The burglary was discovered just before 6am on Saturday 12 May 2018 but is believed to have occurred between 1am and 2am that morning. A quantity of cash and cigarettes were among the items stolen.

Sergeant Ben Norbury of the Dover Community Safety Unit said: ‘We believe the offenders would have needed a vehicle and are appealing to anyone who was driving past that night and saw suspicious people or vehicles in the area to contact us, especially if they have dash cam footage that could help our enquiries.

‘We would also like to hear from anyone who has information about the burglary or has since been offered cigarettes for sale.’
