Man in custody for dangerous driving after allegedly driving wrong way along M20 near Folkestone

Officers have charged a man with dangerous driving for allegedly driving the wrong way down the M20 near Folkestone, Kent.

At about 4.40pm on Tuesday 12 June officers from the Channel Tunnel Policing Unit stopped the vehicle on the M20 coast bound carriageway, just past junction 11a.

A 43-year-old man from Romania was charged with dangerous driving on 13 June.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates Court on Thursday 14 June and was remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court at a later date.
