A smart new development of 31 contemporary homes is underway in Lydden with leading Kent-based developer, Pentland Homes.

The first eight plots on the brownfield site off Canterbury Road in Lydden are expected to be completed by December 2020.

The site was allocated for residential development in Dover District Council’s Land Allocations Local Plan, adopted in 2015.

Karrina Oki, Sales & Marketing Director, Pentland Homes, said: “Lydden is a fantastic rural location, with easy access to Dover which is just two miles away, and the high-speed link to St Pancras.”

The development features a new, contemporary house type for Pentland Homes, designed to complement the rural setting and to take advantage of the views across the valley which overlooks an area of outstanding natural beauty and a special area of conservation. Some of the buildings will have a distinctive flat ridge roof in a nod to the traditional Kent Oast House."
