Officers investigating a reported robbery at a Margate business have issued a photo, shown above, of a man they would like to identify.

It was reported that at around 4am on Sunday 27 January 2019 the victim, a man in his 20s who was working in the amusements arcade in the High Street, was approached by an unknown man who had entered the building and demanded access to the on site office.

Despite attempts by the member of staff to stop the offender, a quantity of cash was then stolen.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Leah Roberts said: ‘We would like to identify the man pictured as he may be able to assist our enquiries.

‘While the face may not be particularly clear in this image, we hope someone will recognise the clothing, footwear and build of the man and let us know who he is.

‘Also, we continue to ask that anyone who might have seen something unusual around that time in Margate High Street near to the junction with the Centre, or any of the alley ways nearby, calls us on 01843 222289 quoting 46/17547/19. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers in Kent anonymously on 0800 555 111.'
