Thousands attended Farm Expo, a new event for 2019, organised by the Kent County Agricultural Society at the County Showground, Detling, last Wednesday (March 6).

While showcasing the latest developments in major national and international farming machinery and agricultural services, the show also featured trade stands, seminars, debates and networking opportunities for those looking towards the post-Brexit future of farms, farming and rural enterprises.

Among the many local firms with displays at Farm Expo, Haynes Agricultural were celebrating 100 years of supplying sales and service on tractors and farm machinery to farmers across Kent and Sussex.

To mark their centenary, a special edition New Holland T7 tractor was unveiled by the Maidstone company, standing proudly alongside a Fordson Model F, the first tractor ever sold by Haynes, in 1919.

Chairman of Kent Agricultural Society, Kevin Attwood, said “The Society are committed to education and development in farming and agriculture.

"Farm Expo is an important event for us to hold in order to best support the local farming community and ensure the latest developments in farm machinery and agricultural services are available for our farmers.”
