Man and two women sought after necklace stolen from Herne Bay jewellers

Three suspects are being sought after a gold necklace and bracelet were reportedly stolen during an incident at a jewellers in William Street, Herne Bay.

On Saturday 4 May 2019 at around 4.20pm three people are alleged to have walked into the shop and spoken to staff about two pieces of jewellery they wanted to buy. The man and two women stayed at the counter for several minutes whilst the items were being packaged up by staff.

The suspects then left the shop, claiming they needed to draw out extra money to pay for the goods in cash. When they didn’t return to the shop it was noticed the jewellery was no longer inside the packages on the counter.


The man was described as being in his 60s and wearing a long black jacket, waist coat and multi-coloured scarf. He is thought to have been wearing blue trousers and black shoes. One of the women was described as being between 50 and 60 years old and the other in her 20s.

They were both wearing dark clothes.
