Detectives investigating an early morning aggravated burglary at a Dover business have issued CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to as he may have information which could assist their enquiries.

It was reported that at around 6.45am on Thursday 30 May 2019, a man entered a shop in Sandwich Road, Eythorne, and stole the till tray, containing a quantity of cash.

The suspect was chased on foot by bystanders as far as Flax Court Lane.

Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Cara Ferguson said: ‘The burglary took place shortly after the shop had opened, so we want to speak to drivers who perhaps were on their way to work at that time of the morning in the area and captured something of interest on their dashcams, as well as anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious as it could help our investigation.’

If you know the identity of the man pictured, and if you witnessed the incident and have yet to speak to an officer, call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/103045/19.

Alternatively, you can call the independent charity, Crimestoppers in Kent, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
