Woman motorcyclist flown to hospital following serious crash on M26 in Kent

A motorcyclist was airlifted to a London hospital following the collision, which happened on Thursday 12 September 2019.



Officers were called at 2.56pm to the Kent bound carriageway at a location close to Otford. Both carriageways were closed to allow the air ambulance to safely land.

The rider of the bike, a woman aged in her 40s, remains in hospital with serious injuries. It is believed no other vehicles were involved in the collision and officers are working to establish the full circumstances.

Anyone who saw the motorcycle, described as a blue Honda Shadow, or who has dash cam footage from the area around the time, is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798 538 quoting RY/NR/100/19. Alternatively email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk
