Drugs suspect charged after police pursuit in Dover and Folkestone

A man will appear in court charged with dangerous driving following a police pursuit between Dover and Folkestone.

The 20-year-old from Croydon was arrested by Kent Police officers on Friday 27 March 2020 after he was stopped in his car in Earls Avenue, Folkestone.

Officers were called concerning a vehicle being driven dangerously around the Port of Dover at around 8pm. The driver refused to stop for police and was pursued to Folkestone.


Following the stop, he was arrested and the car was searched where a quantity of class B drugs and drugs paraphernalia were seized. The man was charged with dangerous driving and possession with intent to supply.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 28 March 2020.
