Police probe suspected arson in village near Canterbury

Kent Police is appealing for information following a suspicious fire in Hersden, near Canterbury.

Officers were called at 6am on Thursday 26 March 2020 following a fire in a building in The Avenue, Hersden.

The fire, which started between 10pm on Wednesday 25 March and 5.55am the following morning, was extinguished by Kent Fire and Rescue Service and there were no reported injuries.


Investigators from both Kent Fire and Rescue Service and Kent Police have since examined the scene and the incident is being treated as an arson.
