Plans to make you merry

Major plans for Hawkinge are being considered by Shepway's Development Control Committee next week but the planning application for the Lidl Supermarket has still to be put before the councillors.

The meeting at 7.00pm on Tuesday 21st December at Shepway District Council Offices will be looking at three important applications for the village.

These include, a Public House on the land at the junction of  Haven Drive and Spitfire Way and 540 new homes with the construction of  a new link road.

Villagers can see the plans at the Shepway Council Offices, quoting the following reference numbers:-

Y04/1331/SH  Land at junction Spitfire Way/Haven Drive, erection of Public house.
Y03/0904/SH  Land to north of Aerodrome Road and Barnhurst Lane ------------------erection of 196 dwelling
Y04/0903/SH  Land north of Gibraltar Lane and land between southern bypass and Aerodrome Road--------------------erection of 344 dwelling and contruction of a new link road
