19/01/05

Between 1115hrs & 1136hrs 19/01/05

Shoplifting

CANTERBURY ROAD HAWKINGE, FOLKESTONE

Offender entered shop 20-30 minutes before the offence. He said to informant "I'll be coming back for clippers soon" - no distinctive accent noticed - and then left the shop. She noticed he was not the type that usually frequented the shop, as she usually knows the customers. Offender returned around 20-30 minutes later and stood by the cabinet, which is located next to the door of the shop. She walked round to the side of the shop and then heard the cabinet door open and the doorbell ring indicating the offender had left. She then gave chase to the offender direction Hawkinge Community Centre and made his way up an alleyway to Uphill where she lost sight of offender.

Male 5ft 8� tall 18years with short blonde hair clean-shaven GREY HOODIE TOP WITH GREY TRACKSUIT BOTTOMS WITH SOCKS PULLED UP OVER THEM

Stolen ELECTRIC CLIPPERS LISTER NEON MODEL 9236 valued at £229.

Attempted Burglary Other

SWAN LANE SELLINDGE, ASHFORD


The Informant reported that between the times stated unknown offender(s) have broken into one of the storage sheds. The Informant states that entry to the shed has been gained by forcing/cutting the hasp to the lock on the door. Although it appears that nothing has been stolen.



20/01/05

Between 2130hrs 19/01/05 & 0730hrs 20/01/05

Theft from Motor Vehicle

DOWNS WAY SELLINDGE, ASHFORD


Informant got up this morning around 0730hrs and discovered that someone had smashed the rear window on the vehicle and stolen the car speakers and several CD's and a car blanket.



21/01/05

Between 2230hrs & 2303hrs 22/01/05

Arson

QUARRY ON MAIN ROAD A20 SELLINDGE, ASHFORD

The Informant stated that he saw a group of approx 20 youths in the quarry climbing on the equipment. He then stated that they had set the portacabin alight. KFB and police patrols attended the scene. When they got there the youths ran off. They confirmed that the cabin had been set alight and KFB put the flames out.

At 0045hrs 22/01/05

Possession of Cannabis

STOWTING HILL STOWTING, ASHFORD


Police were patrolling and saw the offender in his car. They spoke to his, from his demeanour and the state of his eyes officers suspected he was using cannabis. The offender however said he was only smoking a cigarette. But on being told that he was going to be searched, he produced a small bag of herbal cannabis. Due to his age and previous offence of drugs possession he was arrested.
