TEN INJURED AS HOT AIR BALLOON CRASHES INTO TREE

Ten people including two pensioners in their 80s were injured after a hot air balloon crashed into a tree at Dunkirk near Faversham this morning (12 June).

The injured were rushed to hospitals in Margate and Ashford. The most seriously hurt has head injuries and a dislocated shoulder. Two women have spinal injuries.

The pilot of the balloon is among those being treated for serious injuries.

None of the  thirteen people o­nboard fell from the basket.
