Work set to re-start on new pub

WORK SET TO RE-START ON NEW PUB

Although work on the new pub on the employment land between Spitfire Way and Haven Drive in Hawkinge has come to a halt it is still hoped it will open on schedule.

The Gazette has been told that work on the family public house, thought to be called The Sugarloaf, will be re-starting with new contractors within the next two weeks.

It is reported that the pub, which is owned by Wolverhampton and Dudley Breweries, will be opened on scheduled, in time for Easter.

Wolverhampton and Dudley Breweries, PLC are the UK's leading independent brewing and pub retailing business. It operates three breweries - Park Brewery in Wolverhampton, brewing Banks's, Hanson's and Mansfield beers, Marston's Brewery at Burton on Trent and Jennings Brewery at Cockermouth in the Lake District. 

They brew some of the UK's leading ale brands including Marston's Pedigree, Jennings, Banks's Bitter, Banks's Original, and Mansfield Bitter and their award-winning ales collected five international brewing medals at the Millenium International Brewing Awards.
