Community groups can bid as iconic Folkestone Church goes up for sale

The United Reform Church in Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone has just been put up for sale and local groups have an opportunity to snap up the iconic building.



The church is classed as an ‘asset of community value’ by Shepway District Council under the Localism Act 2011.

Local community groups have the opportunity to bid to purchase an asset of community value if it is put up for sale and the United Reform Church in Castle Hill Avenue is listed as such and has just been put up for sale.

Under the legislation local community groups can express an interest in purchasing the building until 7 June 2017.
