Police hunt biker wearing union jack shorts after cyclist is airlifted to hospital following assault in Rochester

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses to an assault in Rochester High Street.


Officers are investigating following a report of assault at 10.07am on Sunday 28 May 2017 where a cyclist was reported to have been assaulted following an altercation with a motorcyclist.

Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance and the cyclist, a man in his sixties, was taken by air ambulance to a London hospital with serious head injuries where he remains.


The suspect has been described as a white man wearing a motorcycle helmet. He is of stocky build and was wearing a black bomber jacket, red, white and blue Union Jack shorts and dark trainers.

There was a passenger who is described as a blonde woman who was also wearing a motorcycle helmet. The woman was wearing a light grey jacket with white jeans and black boots.

The motorbike has been described as black.
