Fire: Mystery to cause of fire at former care home in Margate

Firefighters were called to a fire at a three-storey derelict building in Edgar Road, Cliftonville, Margate shortly after 3.15pm on Tuesday, 12 September 2017


Four fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished a fire on the second floor of the property which was formerly used as a care home.

 


A search of the premises was carried out.

There were no reported casualties and the incident was reduced to three fire engines just after 4pm. Crews remained on the scene damping down hotspots.

 



Kent Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire is not yet known.
