People wanting to recycle their rubbish are invited to a meeting of the Dover Road East Folkestone Association at 7.15pm on October 23rd.

Guest speaker will be Brian Rumbelow from waste services at Folkestone & Hythe Council. The talk is expected to  last about an hour and will cover many waste topics including contamination, recycling, destinations, food and garden waste, and clothing.

Do you ever wonder if you're doing the right thing?

What can be recycled what can't?

Which container to put what packaging in and so forth?

Sue Sheppard is urging residents and businesses to come along.

"If we all do our bit and learn how to sort what can or can't be recycled it won't change the world overnight but it might make our attempts to recycle much more worthwhile," she said.

The meeting is being held at 7.15pm in the back room of The Railway Social Club, Canterbury Road, Folkestone, next to the 'skew arches' on October 23 1019.

The group meets every month and local people are most welcome to attend.
