Suspected burglar from Folkestone to appear in crown court charged over offences in Ashford

A man from Capel-le-Ferne near Folkestone has been charged with burglary with intent to steal, aggravated burglary and possessing a folding knife in a public place.




 

The charges follow reports of two burglaries at the same property in Beaver Lane, Ashford, on 9 and 15 October 2019. During the burglary on 15 October, a quantity of money was reported stolen.

The 32-year-old was charged on Saturday 2 November 2019 and appeared the same day at Canterbury Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded in custody.

 

The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on 2 December 2019.
