Folkestone Town has some fantastic independent businesses doing some great things that the Folkestone Town Team believe deserve recognition.

In December 2018 a number of businesses were rewarded through the first Town Team Awards programme, with categories ranging from customer service to website to décor and displays. Amongst the winners were A Simmonds, Crosskeys Travel, Wild for Flowers, Anna’s Tea Room and Landau Sports.

Winning businesses were thrilled to receive the recognition of their commitment to their own unique businesses with certificates presented by Folkestone Mayor, Cllr Ann Berry.

The project team have now commenced the process for the 2019 Awards and are confirming categories and calling for nominations from Town Team Members.

A new Category for a ‘Green Business’ has also been included and shortlisting will take place late August and voting will be completed at the end of September in readiness for the Town Team Awards Dinner on 7th November at the Burlington Hotel.

The Categories ensure the many businesses that make up a town can be included. Winners and Runners up will receive a certificate, and the Town Team and are calling for fellow business to add to a package of benefits that can help support fellow businesses.

Folkestone Town Team invite all Folkestone businesses to subscribe to receive regular news and updates from them. Further details about projects and to keep in touch can be found online at https://www.folkestonetownteam.org/ [1]
