Broadstairs woman dies in hospital following Thanet three car crash

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman died following a collision in Broadstairs.


The 87-year-old woman from Broadstairs was driving a blue Nissan Micra when the incident happened at the junction of The Silvers and Northwood Road, shortly before 3.30pm on Saturday 10 August 2019.

She was involved in a collision with a silver Honda Civic estate and a black Audi Q5, and was taken to a hospital in London where she has since died.


The driver of the Honda, a 42-year-old man from Broadstairs, was arrested in connection with the incident and later released from custody pending further enquiries.

Witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of any of the vehicles involved are urged to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538 quoting reference HW/DS/83/19.
