Pair threaten man in 50s before assaulting and robbing victim in Dover underpass

Police report a man in his fifties has been robbed and assaulted by two people in an underpass leading to the seafront in Dover.

The incident happened at around 8pm on Sunday 12 January 2020 as he walked along an underpass in Bench Street.

The victim, in his 50s, was threatened and then assaulted before the suspects left with his personal belongings, including cash, cards and vehicle documents.

The suspects were both described as having short dark hair, being around 5ft 7ins tall and wearing dark jackets.

A number of enquiries have been carried out including the review of CCTV opportunities.


Detectives investigating the reported robbery would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could assist.
