Work on the new £7 million Skate Park at the top of Tontine Street is beginning to fully take shape as construction work begins to rise above adjacent streets.

A reader in Antwerp, Belgium has written to the Hawkinge Gazette for help in tracing letters from her grandfather, Théodule Marie Van Mele who was wounded in the First World War on 3 November 1914 in Ramskapelle on the Yser.
