Detectives are carrying out enquiries after a man was reported missing from a boat in Dover.

A dog that survived a 12-foot fall into a soakaway drain and was rescued by Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews, is now safely back with her owner and miraculously has no injuries.

On Tuesday 5 September at 11.02pm, the UK Coastguard called on Dungeness lifeboat to locate a lone yachtsman who had used his mobile phone to contact them saying his vessel had engine failure, he was lost and suffering from fatigue.
