Folkestone's shingle beach, especially opposite the Leas Lifts, has again suffered from the heavy poundings of the winter storms in recent weeks but it is possible they have uncovered some of the town's Victorian history.

A Yellow warning of rain for London & South East England which includes Kent, has been issued by the Met Office and is valid from 1300 Monday 04 January to 1200 Tuesday 05 January.
