£220,000 visitor centre with straw walls!....22 April 2003

Up to 500 bales will form the walls of a new visitor centre being created on the site of a former gravel pit at Romney Warren between St Mary’s Bay and New Romney. The straw bales are just one part of the environmentally friendly building, which will also have a ‘living roof’ of plants.
