It has been confirmed that a proposed new crossing of Shorncliffe Road to make access from Sandgate and West Folkestone to Folkestone West Railway Station safer has been given the go-ahead and will be built this summer.

Kent Police officers are reported to have found in excess of 700 cannabis plants, at various stages of development, in an industrial unit at Bobbing, near Sittingbourne off the A249 Sheppey Way.
