National Gardening Week is the perfect time to think about entering this year’s Ashford in Bloom gardening competition

The country’s biggest annual celebration of gardening is taking place from Monday 26 April to Sunday, 2 May 2021, making it the perfect time to enter your garden in this year’s Ashford in Bloom gardening competition.

There is something for all residents to get involved in whether they have a single houseplant or a sprawling pasture. With a focus on reusing, reducing and recycling across the categories we are hoping this year’s competition will be the biggest and best one yet.

The categories include:

  • Best front or back garden
  • Most environmentally friendly garden
  • Best communal garden
  • Best balcony
  • Best window box
  • Best indoor garden
  • Best young gardener U-14

Residents should send their entries to Ashfordinbloom@ashford.gov.uk with the category they want to enter as the subject line. Entries need to include pictures as well as a few sentences about their space. (Only one entry per household will be allowed).

More information about each individual category can be found on our website by visiting:
