Three men appeared at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 24 June 2021 faced with charges of conspiracy to steal a car in Lydd.
The charges relate to a Kent Police investigation after a Mercedes C220 was reported stolen in Greatstone on 12 October 2020.
A 55-year old man, of Banbury Road, London, another man aged 55, of Park Hill, London, and a 39-year-old man from Romford, London, were arrested in connection with the report on 15 January 2021, and have now been charged with conspiring together to steal the car worth more than £22,000.
The man from Banbury Road has also been charged with fraud by false representation and possession of class A drugs.
All three have been released on bail and are next due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 26 July 2021.
