Detectives are appealing for information after a delivery van was targeted in Sevenoaks.

The incident happened at around 4.30pm on Wednesday 15 December 2021 in Westerham Road, near its junction with Bessels Way.

Assault

A driver was leaving an address after making a delivery when he was allegedly assaulted by two men. The victim reported they took the keys to his silver Ford Transit van and then stole the vehicle.

The suspects are described as being white, around five feet and nine inches tall and of stocky build. Both were wearing black face masks and black tracksuits.

‘Investigating officer, Detective Constable Jo Slevin, said: ‘While we are continuing with our investigation, I would remind drivers to ensure they keep their vehicles secure when they are making deliveries.
‘Where feasible, they should fit their vans with trackers, park in areas that are well lit and should call 101 if they are concerned about somebody acting suspiciously, or 999 if a crime is occurring.’

Officers are urging anyone with any information that may assist the investigation to call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting reference 46/258083/21.
