Horror and dismay

Fr Dylan Jeffrey writes: “We look on with horror and dismay as events unfold in Ukraine; the need for peace is imperative.

“We are opening the church for everyone to be able to drop in for a moment of prayer and to light a candle for peace in Ukraine; there’ll be gentle music and a prayerful ambience as we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with all our sisters and brothers who yearn for peace.”

Rivers of blood and tears

There will be 1,000 candles available to be lit for peace. In addition, ‘Peace in Ukraine’ button badges will be given out to help promote and acknowledge the need for peace and negotiation to replace the rivers of blood and tears.

Volunteers will also be opening the Church Hall throughout for free refreshments and a chat from 12.30pm to 4.00pm this Saturday

Please come along.
