More than £20,000 in cash was found after a Swanscombe man was arrested at Gatwick Airport.
Kent Police officers detained the man as he disembarked a flight from Barcelona on the evening of Wednesday 22 June 2022.
He had been wanted for unrelated offences.
The man claimed to have had no luggage but officers located a bag and upon searching it they found the money, along with a large quantity of designer clothes and mobile phones.
The 28-year-old was arrested on suspicion of money laundering and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries until Friday 15 July.
