Thirty vehicles were ordered to leave a car park during a weekend crackdown on drivers using their vehicles in an antisocial manner in north Kent.

Between Friday 24 and Saturday 25 June 2022 officers were in Greenhithe and Dartford as part of an ongoing response to local concerns around the behaviour of a minority of drivers in the area.

A dispersal order under the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, was also enforced to prevent large groups of people congregating in the area.

Speeding

On 24 June officers issued three traffic offence reports which related to speeding in Crossways Boulevard. The drivers reported for speeding received fixed penalty notices.

In the same area officers also issued a driver with a warning about using their vehicle in an antisocial manner while another driver was issued with a notice to leave the area immediately and not return for at least 24 hours.

Ten vehicles were also ordered to leave a car park on 25 June.

Community Safety Unit Inspector for north Kent, Trevor Jenner, said: ‘These latest results are evidence of our ongoing efforts to crackdown on drivers using their vehicles in an antisocial manner in the area.

‘We understand residents have concerns and we are responding to these concerns by ensuring a continued visible police presence where drivers causing antisocial behaviour are being robustly dealt with.

Vehicles seized

‘Those motorists who persist in continuing to frequent the area causing antisocial behaviour will risk further fines and having their vehicles seized.’
