A routine traffic stop of a man caught driving without a seatbelt resulted in officers seizing weapons and drugs from his car.

The 30-year-old from Aylesham was pulled over by a patrol in the Menzies Road area of Dover at around 8.30am on Tuesday 28 June 2022.

Officers believed he was acting suspiciously and carried out a search of his vehicle, where they located a knuckleduster and several bags containing cannabis.

Lock knife

The man was also found to be in possession of a lock knife.

He was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving, possession with intent to supply cannabis, possession of an offensive weapon and driving without insurance or a licence, and has since been released from custody pending further enquiries.
