The exciting programme for the 2022 Folkestone Air Display – just a month away – has been revealed.

Thousands are expected to gather on Sunday 21 August to watch the incredible Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5, The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Puma, and Chinook do their thing along our magnificent coastline.

The event will then conclude with an eye-catching display from the world-famous RAF Red Arrows.

Leader Cllr David Monk said: “The Folkestone Air Display remains one of my favourite events on the district’s calendar and I am delighted we have been able to put together such a fantastic line-up.

“It’s a day to really celebrate the district – our residents, visitors who may be exploring Folkestone & Hythe for the first time, and the businesses that will be boosted by our organisation of this much-loved event.”

Getting there

Residents and visitors are asked to consider using public transport on the day, but temporary car parks at Radnor Park and Folkestone School for Girls will be available to those who travel by car.

Both will be open between 10am and 6pm. It will cost £5 to park and only cash can be accepted so please remember to bring change.

The Leas and Folkestone Harbour areas are expected to see an increase in traffic as these are two of the best viewing spots. Stewards will be working throughout the day to keep disruption to a minimum.

Several roads will be closed and there will be suspensions to some parking bays.

Weekend of fun

Folkestone Festivals is organising food, arts and craft stalls, live music and a classic car show along The Leas on both the Saturday and Sunday.
