Officers from Kent Police’s Rural Task Force are appealing for information following two incidents where alpacas and sheep were killed near Nettlestead.

Overnight between Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 August 2022, two sheep died and ten further sheep suffered injuries whilst in a field near Maidstone Road.

During the hours of darkness between Thursday 18 and Friday 19 August, two alpacas were also attacked and died of their injuries in a field near to the first incident.

Police Sergeant Darren Walshaw said: ‘We are appealing to anyone with information that may assist the investigation to call our appeal line.
‘As part of our enquiries we are seeking to identify the person responsible for two dogs that resemble dark and light coloured lurchers, that have been seen unsupervised in the area.’
