The Met Office has issued a warning of heavy showers and thunderstorms to Kent and the southeast coast of England between 10.00pm today, 3 November and 6.00am tomorrow, 4 November.

Some flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely, leading to damage to buildings or structures.

There will probably be some damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes.

Delays to train services are possible and some short term loss of power and other services is likely say weather experts.

    Following recent wet weather, further heavy and slow-moving showers and thunderstorms will affect parts of south and southeast England during Thursday evening and overnight. Downpours are likely to be most frequent along the coast. Some locations may receive 30-40 mm of rain in a few hours, whilst thunderstorms will be mostly limited to coastal districts where lightning and hail may be additional hazards.
