Police are appealing for information and dashcam footage after a pedestrian died following a collision on the A2.

The incident happened at around 2.45am on Saturday 12 November 2022, at a location close to Dartford Heath on the London-bound carriageway.

Officers and ambulance crews arrived, but a woman was declared deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

The collision involved a white DAF lorry.

It is reported that prior to the incident the woman had been travelling in a grey BMW which had stopped on the coastbound carriageway.

An investigation by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit is ongoing, which led to the road being closed. The coast-bound route was reopened at 10.15am.

Motorists who were travelling in both directions of the A2 are urged to check for any dashcam footage, which may assist the investigation. You can upload dashcam via the police online portal
