Detectives investigating two attempted robberies in Folkestone are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The first attempted robbery was reported to have taken place in Cheriton High Street at 8pm on Monday 23 January 2023.

The victim was jogging down the road when a man approached him, aggressively demanding money. The victim refused and was able to leave the area without issue.

The second incident took place five minutes later in the same location where a man in his sixties was walking down the street and was approached in a similar way. Again the victim refused and the suspect left.

The suspect was described as over 6 ft tall, and wore blue jeans, a green jacket and a black balaclava or face covering.
